I was commissioned to take this photograph of the view to the Thames from Richmond Hill by a client that lives directly opposite it. He ordered a 6ft print of the Photograph (see image below), once framed he hung it on his living room wall. A few months later I bumped into him and asked if he was still enjoying the print. His reply, “Yes, I love it, although I wish I had printed it even bigger!”. Which was nice to hear….
Richmond is a suburban town in west London, 8.2 miles (13.2 km) west-southwest of Charing Cross. The town is on a meander of the River Thames, with a large number of parks and open spaces, including Richmond Park, and many protected conservation areas, which include much of Richmond Hill. A specific Act of Parliament protects this scenic view of the River Thames from Richmond.
